By using Family Cookbook ("the app"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Use of the App

Family Cookbook is a personal recipe storage and family sharing application. You may use the app to:

• Store and organize family recipes, stories, and photos
• Share recipe collections with family members
• Sync your recipes securely across your Apple devices via iCloud

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or have parental consent in accordance with applicable laws.

2. Your Account

You sign in using Apple's Sign in with Apple service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID. We cannot access your Apple ID credentials.

3. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all recipes, photos, stories, and other content you create in the app. We do not claim any rights to your content.

When you share a family cookbook with other users, you grant them permission to view and edit recipes within that shared family. You can revoke access at any time by removing members from the family.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
• Attempt to interfere with the app's functionality or other users' experience
• Share content that is harmful, abusive, or inappropriate through family sharing features

5. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Free Tier

The app offers a free tier with limited features. Free users can create a limited number of recipes and families.

Premium Subscription

Premium unlocks unlimited recipes, families, and additional features. Subscriptions are available as:

• Monthly — billed every month
• Yearly — billed annually (save ~33% compared to monthly)

Billing Terms

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
• Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. iCloud & Data Sync

The app uses Apple's CloudKit for data synchronization. Your use of iCloud is subject to Apple's iCloud Terms of Service. We are not responsible for data loss due to iCloud service disruptions.

7. Intellectual Property

The Family Cookbook app, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by the developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app.

Recipe content created by users belongs to those users. We make no claim to user-generated content.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Data will not be lost (always keep backups of important recipes)

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data or content.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to terminate access to the app for violations of these terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
